Boose Slanging Baristas

Lets all get Starbucks Wasted/Starbuzzed yo! At $5 a beer and between $7-$9 for a glass of wine, your local barista could soon be offering up your choice of a nice cold one for your after work pleasure. I caught the tale end of an evening news segment last night which announced 6 new Starbucks stores here in and around the LA area are soon to be selling booze…  Not to worry though the temptation to get sloshed before work wont be a problem because they will only serve alcohol after 2 pm {but if you ask me there is just something unappealing about boozing at what I would otherwise know as a quite coffee shop after 5 pm} I get it, this is their attempt to lure in peeps like the non-coffee drinkers during slow periods of the day, case and point, afternoons and evenings, but do really need a Starbucks after Dark Revolution… not so much. And at $5 a beer… nothing about that price is more alluring than a good ol’ $2.50 at a local happy hour; than again if you’re one to hit up Starbucks 5 days a week you probably really aren’t concerned about price… right?? I mean those of us willing to spend $4 on a cup of coffee most likely wont be complaining about a $9 glass of vino. Nonetheless, Im not so sure my first choice to go get a little buzz on post work hours will ever be a Starbucks, but who knows...
