Yeeeee its friday! And I couldn't be more excited about how little I actually have "planned" for the weekend! Aside from the fact that it was a 4 day work week, for some odd reason this week seems to have crept by... And in light spending what seems like countless hours locked up in my cubicle i have been slipping away into a new type of Pandora station to help the time pass... girl crush alert!! girl crush alert!!!!the soft coo of skylar grey’s voice has undoubtedly grabbed a hold of my girl crushing heart. her vocals, which have been featured in hit songs like “coming home” by diddy-dirty money and “i need a doctor” by eminem and dr. dre, come across as haunting yet eerily beautiful. while she’s best known for her hook singing abilities, i was surprised to learn that she's also a very talented songwriter. in fact, her writing contributions to the song "love the way you lie", made commercially successful by eminem and rihanna, earned her a grammy nomination. how cool is that! here she is performing the demo version of the song...
